Thierry Henry is already scolding Arsenal fans

Less than a week after Thierry Henry come off the bench to score a "fairytale" winner in a FA Cup third round match against Leeds in his first match back with the club that already built a statue for him outside their stadium, the tone at Arsenal is decidedly less magical. The Guardian and The Sun report that Henry had a bit of a disagreement with a fan after he tried to applaud the traveling support after Swansea's 3-2 win over Arsenal in Wales.

From The Sun:

A Gunners source said: "Thierry had encouraged his team-mates to go and acknowledge the fans and show their appreciation for the people who made the long journey to Swansea.

"Unfortunately one or two of them had a few things to say and expressed their disappointment.

"One in particular was shouting 'Where is the heart and the character and the fight?'

"Thierry shouted back 'Get behind the team and support the players and don't be negative.'"

In fairness to the critical fan, traveling to watch your team squander a 5th minute lead and a 69th minute equalizer against a team that was in the Championship last year can be frustrating.

Henry only played the final half hour of the match after coming on for Andrei Arshavin, so he can't really be blamed for the disappointment (despite that precedent he set against Leeds). But regardless of the shift in tone over the course of the week, ! there re mains one constant at Arsenal: Robin van Persie could score a goal while getting a colonoscopy.
