8 De Gea: Amazing considering Uniteds dominance he had so much to do but was on top form

7 Jones: Solid effort and managed a few Rafael type attacks as well

6 Ferdinand: Had one very dodgy moment when robbed by McClean at 2-0. De Gea saved his blushes

7 Smalling: Added another impressive effort after his sub display in the derby

7 Evra: Could have scored a couple of goals and was never in trouble defensively

7 Valencia: In fifth gear for first 45 minutes and rocked the Black Cats but he didnt see enough of ball in second

6 Carrick: Great one-two for Cleverleys goal but forced off at half time

8 Cleverley: Deserved standing ovation when subbed. Great passing and very good finish

8 Young: Kept his derby form going with another destructive display

8 Rooney: Missed a few good chances but got goal his all round display deserved

8 Van Persie: Classy finish for opener and wonderful work for the third
