Jose Mourinho allegedly sends PSG game tapes to help them beat Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain are aiming to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League for the second time in their history, with just the small matter of two matches against La Liga giants Barcelona standing in their way.

The Parisian side have plenty to feel encouraged by: not only will they be able to field former Barca striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after having his two-match ban halved, but if the French media is to be believed, they are also getting tactical advice from Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho.

According to information acquired by French sports newspaper L'quipe, the Special One has sent PSG edited videos from his last two victories with Los Blancos over Barcelona, complete with detailed analysis on how to beat them. A translation from their scoop reads:

In this compilation, the Portuguese coach, who is friends with Carlo Ancelotti, Leonardo and Nasser al-Khelaifi, describe in detail the cracks in Bara's game. He knows whereof he speaks because he has lost only one of their last eight clsicos.

This sounds exactly like the kind of stunt that Mou would pull, but according to Spanish paper AS, his assistant Aitor Karanka has labelled the claim "ridiculous."

Perhaps it is a fabrication designed to endear Mourinho to the Madrid fans who have jeered him for so long, or maybe a subtle way of teasing the Portuguese manager's long-rumored move to the French capital. But if Carlo Ancelotti ends Tuesday's match by gauging his thumb into someone's eye, we'll know where he's been getting his ideas.
