Leo Messi has his sons handprints tattooed on his calf on Spanish Fathers Day

The world was treated to one of the worst tattoo unveilings in the history of the beautiful game on Saturday, when Reading striker Noel Hunt showed off this incongruous mess on his back. Isn't it glorious?

Leo Messi also joined in on the questionable artwork fun this week by paying tribute to his four-month-old son on his famous left leg. The Argentinean was granted time off from training on Tuesday which was Father's Day in Spain to have 'Thiago' etched on his calf, flanked by his little handprints. Or they might be Ewok handprints, it's a little hard to tell.

The Messi family appear to have a rich tradition of having their relatives tattooed on each other. The Barcelona superstar already a portrait of his mother inked on his left shoulder, while his brother and "number one fan" has one of little Leo wearing the Albiceleste colors.
