Franck Ribery and Toni Kroos play rock-paper-scissors for a free kick

Having scored seven goals in each of their previous two matches, Bayern Munich continued their goal binge by beating Hertha Berlin 6-0 on Saturday. Bayern made such easy work of their hosts, that they resorted to playing rock-paper-scissors to decide who would take free kicks just to keep themselves entertained.

Franck Ribery and Toni Kroos were the participants in this competition, with Ribery comping out victorious after they took the time to play two rounds while Arjen Robben watched. Ribery ended up not scoring on the ensuing free kick, though Kroos notched a goal in the 51st minute. Robben, meanwhile, scored twice in five minutes during the first half hour.

Rock-paper-scissors for free kick duty seems to be a developing trend in the Bundesliga, though. Earlier in the season, Borussia Monchengladbach's Marco Reus and Mike Hanke did the same thing during a 3-0 win against Cologne. Clearly Germany is slowing working towards a day when football matches are completely made up of a series of rock-paper-scissors showdowns.
