Panathinaikos Giourkas Seitaridis scores for Lazio with backpass into his own empty net

Lazio traveled to Athens to play Panathinaikos in the Europa League on Thursday and they probably didn't expect the level of hospitality they received in the 25th minute of the match.

Panathinaikos keeper Orestis Karnezis chased down an errant attempt to clear out on the far side of the box and passed to defender Giourkas Seitaridis. Seitaridis then passed it right back to his side's own goal, which proved to be a problem since Karnezis wasn't there to defend it and thus the ball rolled right in to give Lazio a 1-0 lead.

Maybe Seitaridis spotted a phantom teammate or maybe he just forgot who passed him the ball, but the result was like some kind of glitch out of FIFA 13. Lazio took their gifted lead into halftime, which gave Seitaridis' teammates a good 15 minutes to repeatedly ask him what he was thinking.
