Perus Carlos Zambrano thinks Leo Messi and Gonzalo Higuain are little girls

Peru held Argentina to a 1-1 draw in their World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday, but Peru's goalscorer, Carlos Zambrano, was not satisfied with the result. He also took issue with the behavior of Argentina's goalscorer, Gonzalo Higuain. And he felt it necessary to hurl schoolyard taunts at Leo Messi because apparently he thinks that's what 23-year-old adults do.

The Eintracht Frankfurt defender toldDepor.pe:

"Lionel Messi didn't do much, he must have been scared. We had a debt to our fans and we repaid it with good football. Gonzalo Higuain and Messi complained about everything, they are little girls. Higuain tried to provoke me the whole time, but I behaved well.

"We deserved to win, we played very good football. I'm angry because we only got one point. We knew we could win but we lost two points. The Argentines were frustrated, they didn't know how to stop us. They couldn't get possession of the ball. They tried to work me up with insults. They think they're untouchable, but that's wrong because football is for men."

Zambrano then growled, smashed a beer can on his head and continued to ignorethe fact that his show of bravado is just a mask for his own insecurities.

Meanwhile, Argentina remain atop the table in CONMEBOL qualifying while Peru sit seventh of nine with just seven points in as many matches.
