Balo says he only has two years left with Man City, other funny things
Since a whinging knee damage has kept him from entertaining upon a pitch, Mario Balotelli has had even more time than usual to blab his smashing code of egotistical honesty in a ubiquitous vicinity of journalists. Will Man City fans enjoy his latest batch of quotes? Well, it's a mixed bag.
First, a bad. From Sky Sports:
"Do we envy Cassano for starting to AC Milan? A little," Balotelli told Italian newspaper Extra Time.
"(Milan owner) Silvio Berlusconi said which Cassano is a most appropriate Italian talent - he's wrong or doesn't know Balotelli.
"Me with Ibra as well as Cassano during Milan? It'll happen soon. For this year, as well as another, we will stay during City where I'm fine."
Man City only paid Inter 24 million to be able to sign Balotelli to a five-year contract final summer, mind you. And, you know, "this year as well as another" doesn't equal 5 years. But you all know contracts in veteran football have been incomprehensible these days, generally to someone like self-professed Milan fan Mario Balotelli. So who cares, right?
And now, a bittersweet. From a Guardian:
"He [Rooney] is a very good player though not a most appropriate [striker] in Manchester," said Balotelli.
Yeah, you know, Mario. Dimitar Berbatov is.
The 20-year-old also claimed which he is as popular with Manchester United fans as he is with City's. "Do United fans insult me? No, they stop me in a travel as well as say: 'Mario, come to us'. But we mental condition of beating them since we know how most a City fans care, they have been smashing with me." [...]
"Our attack of Balotelli-Tevez-Dzeko is a most appropriate in a world," Balotelli told Extra Time. "We have been a strongest. Better even than Barcelona as well ! as Real Madrid."
This "best in a world" attack hasn't even played a singular notation together, so I'm not certain if I'd go comparing it to Barcelona only yet. Then again, we also don't impute to myself in a third person, so what do we know?
