This is why footballers should never fake injuries

From this clip alone, we don't whether Deportivo Brasil's Gladstone was actually injured during last Friday's Copa So Paulo de Futebol Jnior 2011 match against Flamengo-RJ or not, but we do know that he probably regrets not walking off on his own.

A quick visit to YouTube reveals the many previous slapstick incidents caused by the people who carry footballers off the pitch on stretchers. This might be the best yet, though.

Why the stretcher guy insists on picking it up so that he smashes his rear into Gladstone's face every time is both baffling and cruel. If the referee didn't intervene, it probably would have gone on forever.

And finally, cutting to the confused kid on the bench giving a thumbs up could not have been more perfect.
