DTotD: Eredivisie players get boots stuck together, red card ensues

Just after halftime in ADO Den Haag's 2-2 draw against Roda JC, Sanharib Malki and Mike van Duinen got their laces tangled while going for a 50-50 ball. When they didn't immediately detach from each other, Malki tried to shake Van Duinen off, causing the ADO goal scorer to fall over. The referee spotted this and showed Malki a straight red.

This could be the birth of the next iteration of the game, where each player has the laces of one boot tied to those of an opponent for the entirety of a match. Ankle doping will be rampant.

This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
