Wigan Athletic 1 Manchester United 0
Manchester United suffered a shock defeat against Wigan at the DW Stadium as the Reds saw their Premier League lead cut.
The Latics had a goal controversially disallowed in the first half when, after Victor Moses' header had found the net, Gary Caldwell was penalised for blocking goalkeeper David de Gea.
Wigan did go ahead through Shaun Maloney's impressive curling shot, but the goal came from a corner that arguably should not have been given.
United are now five points ahead of Manchester City who defeated West Brom at the Etihad Stadium.
Wigan, meanwhile, boosted their survival hopes and are now two points clear of the relegation zone.
