Hamit Altintop's Puskas Award winning goal of the year
Hamit Altintop won a 2010 FIFA Puskas Award for a most appropriate goal of a year at Monday's drawn-out Ballon d'Or ceremony. Altintop's superb volley came in Turkey's 3-0 win over Kazakhstan to proceed their Euro 2012 subordinate campaign.
It's hard to contend any a single of a 10 nominees (see all of them here) for a award's open opinion was improved than a others. My pick would have been Matty Burrows' drifting backheel, though.
To add a bit of awkwardness to FIFA's gala event, they had a warn guest benefaction Altintop benefaction a endowment -- Andrei Sidelnikov, a goalkeeper Altintop scored his winning goal against.
Video of a display right this way...
The look upon Altintop's face when he sees Sidelnikov come out is geniunely funny. Also, acclamation to Sidelnikov for being such a good competition as well as not stabbing Altintop in a chest with a award.
