Japan coach only wants a watch for reaching WWC final

Japan's tremendous Women's World Cup campaign has already included wins over heavily favored host nation Germany in the quarterfinals and Sweden in the semis. They've brought joy to their country several months after the earthquake that devastated it and after every game, they've carried a banner thanking the world for its support. Yet, unlike the German team who were due to receive a 60,000 bonus for winning the tournament, the Japanese team have no monetary incentive to win at all. And coach Norio Sasaki says they're fine with that. But there is one gift he would appreciate.

"For us it's not about money, it's about being part of this World Cup," Sasaki replied, when asked by a German journalist if his team would get the same bonus the Germans were offered.

"We haven't talked about money, but now we have reached the final, a watch would be a nice thing, that is what I would expect.

"The president may think about that, we will not however get what they would have got in Germany."

Sasaki doesn't specify what kind of watch he would like, so for his sake, I'm going to say that he's talking about a diamond encrusted Rolex.
