This is the MLS goal of the year (plus the one that surprisingly isnt)

With 42 percent of the fan vote, Portland's No. 2 pick in this year's MLS draft, Darlington Nagbe, won the league's goal of the year award for his beautiful juggle and volley into the top of the net against Kansas City in July. KC goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen set him up for what would be Portland's only goal in the 2-1 loss by punching the ball out to him, so he definitely deserves a thank you from Darlington.

A month before Nagbe pulled that off, the Vancouver Whitecaps' Eric Hassli seemed to have the award all locked up with his exquisite volley against his club's rivals in Seattle. Have a look...

Hassli's effort only got 31 percent of the vote, though. This doesn't necessarily prove that Nagbe's goal was 11 percent better or that the fans of inaugural season darlings Portland proved their dedication once more. But it does show that the threat of Timber Joey's giant chainsaw is very real in the minds of many MLS fans.
