Paolo Di Canio kicks his players, cuts the grass and continues winning
League One side Swindon Town pulled off a extra-time upset at Stoke in the second round of the Capital One Cup (formerly the Carling Cup). Manager Paolo "I do what I want" Di Canio led Town with hissignatureintensity and spurred James Collins to a hat trick by celebrating his goals with a kick up the backside.
Collins finished his hat trick with the match's third extra-time goal to give Town a 4-3 win and he probably did it because he knew the kicking from Di Canio he would get if they lost would be far worse than the one he got after scoring earlier in the match. Here's video...
And so Paolo Di Canio's managerial success continues after winning League Two in his first season. But his unusual yet highly effective methods go beyond kicking players and stomping around the touchline. After a home win against Crawley Town last week, he even helped out with the mowing.
