QPR lodge formal complaint after goalkeeper Paddy Kenny sends abusive text messages to owner and technical director

Paddy Kenny played for Queens Park Rangers for two seasons, helping them get back into the Premier League. This summer, however, the popular player was given a shove towards the door at Loftus Road when new manager Mark Hughes brought in Robert Green.

Kenny moved to Leeds to be reunited with Neil Warnock, and Green let in five goals during his home debut against Swansea. QPR have subsequently decided to throw more of their money at the problem,having today been linked with Internazionale shot stopper and Shakespeare-character-soundalike Julio Cesar.

Not content with the schadenfruede of watching his replacement's less-than-impressive league opener, and his former employer's knee-jerk transfer activity, Kenny reportedly sent QPR owner Tony Fernandes and technical director Mike Rigg abusive texts after the match, prompting Rigg to write a formal letter of complaint to Leeds Utd. Reports The Guardian:

It is understood Kenny sent abusive text messages to Rigg and Fernandes late on Saturday night and in the early hours of Sunday morning, mocking the result and Green's performance.

Rigg is also understood to have received calls up until 3am on Sunday, leading him to make a formal complaint to Leeds.

Kenny also recently took to Twitter to call QPR a "tin pot side" an odd accusation of a Premier League side rich with investment from a man who plays for a Championship side still recovering from near financial meltdown.!

L eeds manager Neil Warnock has not commented on the situation, other than saying it is an "internal matter". But seeing as Warnock has signed Kenny on four separate occasions and QPR sacked the manager in January he'll probably give him a hug and take him for pizza and ice cream.
