Manchester United to face Ajax in Europa League

Manchester United have drawn fellow former European Cup winners Ajax in the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League.

The Reds were edged out of the Champions League group stages, finishing third and being parachuted into today's draw in Nyon.

While many expected the demotion to Europe's second tier would be a blow to the United's prestige, the fixture would not be out of place in the Champions League knockout phase.

United will play in the Amsterdam Arena first.

If they overcome Ajax, United will face wither Lokomotiv Moscow or Athletic Bilbao in the last 16.
