This might be the most depressing thing Arsene Wenger has ever said
We documented Arsene Wenger's descent into depression during Arsenal's nightmarish end to last season, but with Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri (supposedly) finally close to leaving Arsene's clutches of denial, it might be time to take away his belts and shoelaces.
Here's a quote on the matter from Wenger's press conference just before the start of a brand new season (via ITV Football):
The prospect of losing arguably his two best players must be daunting for Wenger, but the 61-year-old insists replacements can be found if necessary.
"We are all replaceable.
All the cemeteries are full of replaceable people," he said.
Did he conduct this press conference from the ledge of a tall building or while in a bath with a plugged-in toaster teetering over it?
Obviously this hasn't been a fun ordeal for Wenger (or any of us), but this guy is in serious need of a pick-me-up. Get this man back on his yacht slide ASAP. Otherwise, don't be surprised if he comes out for Arsenal's match against Newcastle on Saturday wearing sweatpants and his fingernails painted black.
