Chelsea came away from their home match against Norwich with a 3-1 win capped by goal from Juan Mata, making his club debut as a substitute, but it was Didier Drogba's scary collision with goalkeeper John Ruddy that was of far more concern.

Drogba had to be stretchered off in the 71st minute after Ruddy, who was later sent off for taking down Ramires in the box, caught him with an elbow under the chin. Drogba was knocked out immediately and limply hit the ground face-down. He appeared to be bleeding from the nose and/or mouth as team doctors carefully put him on the stretcher and, after a considerable amount of time, carried him off.

Dan Levene of the Fulham Chronicle said that Drogba was unconscious for 30 minutes and was taken to the hospital, but, thankfully, it's thought that he only has a concussion.
