DTotD: Another diving linesman

Last month we saw an MLS All-Star game linesman take a dramatic fall to avoid touching the ball, but it turns out linesmen are taking more traditional dives, too. During the match between Corinthians and Sao Paulo in June, one linesman was taken out by a phantom leg sweep as a Corinthians player tried (and failed) to keep the ball from going out.

The combination of the wet pitch and his desire to get out of the way surely had something to do with his spill, but even football's most accomplished simulators will admire his form and timing. Yet, once again, Sian Massey will only shake her head in disgust.
