Everton v Manchester United: Preview
Ashley Young
Manchester United are hopeful that Ashley Young will recover from a toe injury in time to face Everton at Goodison Park.
The England winger will be assessed before the match, but Nemanja Vidic and Tom Cleverley are both in contention after playing against Aldershot in the Carling Cup in midweek.
Rafael is back in training after an operation on a shoulder injury but needs some reserve games under his belt before he is considered for the first team again.
Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has challenged his side to bounce back from last week's derby disaster.
"It's been a tough week for everybody," said Ferguson. "It was a bad result.
"But we have to get over that. That's the name of the game.
"Players, supporters and staff, everybody has been involved in that disappointment, but we have to kick on."
Everton will be without Phil Neville and Tim Cahill for the game.
Toffees captain Neville was taken off at half-time in Wednesday's Carling Cup defeat to Chelsea due to a hamstring problem, while Cahill completed the full game but was carrying an injury.
