Ji-sung Park has revealed that words of wisdom from Sir Alex Ferguson helped Manchester United bounce back from the derby defeat.

The Reds followed up victory overAldershot in the Carling Cup with a gutsy 1-0 win at Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

We tried to forget that as quickly as possible and then get through the Carling Cup and the Everton match and we won both games, said Ji.

The most important thing is to forget last weekend and just look forward to the future. We were shocked after last Sunday but we werent nervous coming into this game.

The club have had defeats like that in their history and they have got over them.

We had to win this game. It was very important. We had to get back to winning ways in the league after the defeat against City. It was good to do that.

The boss encouraged us to be confident and we had to show it. We had to show fight and determination.

From now on we have to win every single match and improve ourselves.

United next face Otelul Galati in the Champions League on Wednesday. Otelul also won 1-0in their last league gameagainst Gaz Metan on Friday.
