The three most spectacular hairdos of the U-20 World Cup
Colombia is currently hosting the U-20 World Cup and in addition to the fine footballing talent on display, there are also a few heads of hair impressive enough to make Wayne Rooney weep. Employing our unscientific research, we have picked the most spectacular. And no, Neymar isn't one of them (he's currently in Germany with Brazil's senior squad). Here are the top three...
Ambroise Oyongo, Cameroon
Bright red mohawks are always a good place to start, right? The 20-year-old defender plays his club football for Cameroonian side Cotonsport FC. I'm guessing he's a big Mario Balotelli fan.
Frank Ohandza, Cameroon
Did he glue hay to his head? Is it honey flavored cotton candy? We may never know. Frank plays in the Thailand Premier League for Buriram FC, so this might be the work of a Thai hairdresser rather than a Cameroonian one. Then again, given Oyongo's style, there's a good chance Cameroon brought a mad scientist to Colombia with them.
Frank gets a look at himself in the mirror.
Mustafa Amini, Australia
In case his vibrant 'fro isn't enough of a giveaway, that's Mustafa wearing the No. 10 shirt in the picture above. Mustafa is an 18-year-old Aussie with Afghan and Nicaraguan parents and, in addition to the hair and the awesome name, he is also fluent in Farsi and Spanish. Plus, he just signed with Borussia Dortmund. So he's pretty much a total boss.
