DTotD: Ibrahimovic gives Marco Rossi a shot in the ribs
Normally, hitting an opponent in the ribs from behind is an act that shows a player's regression to the level of a common punk. For Zlatan Ibrahimovic, however, it's actually kind of a sign of progress. We've grown accustomed to stories of Zlatan attacking his own teammates this season -- whether it's kicking Rodney Strasser in training, fighting Oguchi Onyewu in training, or kicking Robinho as he celebrates a goal. So to see Zlatan focus his violence on someone in a different color shirt has to be encouraging for Milan.
Of course, Ibra was sent off with a straight red (following his earlier yellow for controlling the ball with his arm before scoring a disallowed goal) for hitting Bari's Marco Rossi in the ribs during the 73rd minute of Milan 1-1 draw with the last-place side. But, these are baby steps.
