What kind of collision would bring a sudden end to a match? This kind. The human bus in blue must have thought he was playing American football without pads when he slammed into his opponent while going for a header. Whatever he was thinking, it was inexcusable, and the portly ref showed him a red card.

The hit sparked outrage on the touchline, with one guy shouting, "It's your fault, ref!" Which is hard to believe given how fit and with it he looks. After the performance, the Premier League quickly lined him up to take charge of this weekend's match between Arsenal and Wolves.

Hopefully the player in white turned out to be OK, though. This kind of thing just shouldn't happen.
